The winner of the bale decorating contest was the Credit Union with their Jack Skellington creation!! The bales were voted on by the SJS elementary students. Thank you to all businesses/groups for participating and helping to decorate our town for fall/Halloween!
Picture retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13th. If you need a new order form, send your child to the office to pick one up or you can contact the office to get one sent with your child. If you are only retaking and getting the exact same package as the first picture, you don't need an order form you just need to return your packet on retake day.
Class pictures will also be taken on this day.
Parents & Guardians: With the upcoming weather and road conditions that will occur during the winter months, we ask that you be prepared to be flexible with the bus pick-up and drop-off times. Safety is our top priority.
Also reminder, the office needs to be notified of all bus changes before 2:00pm. This allows time to notify the student, teacher, and driver. Students will not be allowed on a bus they don't normally ride without prior notification.

BBB Game Added: The 5th Grade Boys Basketball team will at the Dunseith Day School tomorrow Nov 7, 2024 at 4:00.
Reminder for volleyball players: there is no practice tonight. Go home, get rest, and take care of injuries. We will have practice Thursday.
Information regarding the Region 4 Volleyball Play-In game to be played Friday November 8, 2024 at 6:00 in Cando. The schedule change is due to North Star having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday. Ticket Information is posted below. Fans will need to buy tickets through the GoFan Digital Ticketing System. Adult tickets are $10 thorugh the app but $15 at the door. Student tickets are $5 at both the door and through the app.
The 6th grade boys basketball teamwill travel to Ojibwa on Thursday November 7th after school, the 5th grade boys will have practice at the old gym.
5th and 6th grade boys basketball team will practice at the old gym after school today 11-5-24 they will practice until 5:00 pm.
Wednesday, November 6th students will be dismissed at 1:00pm due to scheduled Staff Professional Development.

Chad elected to step down before tie-breaker was administered.
Cassandra and Andrea will each serve a 3 year term starting at the November, 2024 regular meeting.
