Binax Testing will be offered 2 times per week for students or staff that would like to be tested.
Testing times will be from 7am-9am on the following days:
Tuesday's: PreK-5th grade students.
Thursday's: 6th-12th grade students.
Please DO NOT send your child to school to be tested on these days if they have ANY of the following symptoms: fever (100.4 degrees F or higher) OR loss of taste and/or smell
OR
If they have two or more of the following symptoms: fatigue, headache, muscle/body aches, chills cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
Staff can test on either of these days.
If you would like your child to be tested, please contact the school to sign-up.

The NFHS feed at Lakota is not working because of an electrical issue. They have an electrician on site working on the problem.

BUS LOADING & PARKING
The roped off area is our new bus loading zone. Please do not park in this area at anytime !
If you are picking up or dropping off students you can park in the loop in front of the school (the former bus loading zone).
We ask that students be allowed to finish their day unless it is an emergency. School is dismissed at 3:10.

Binax Testing
Binax Testing is a rapid test for COVID 19. We are able to offer this testing here at the School. This is a non invasive nasal swab. If a person is identified as a close contact and agrees to participate in our testing program, they are able to stay in school if they are asymptomatic and have a negative test result. Results are available within 15 minutes. This Binax test will be given 2-3 times weekly for up to 7 days. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our nurse Briana Jeanotte at 477-5651.

Reminder:
There is NO PreK on FRIDAY'S, they only have school Mon-Thurs!

We will be broadcasting our athletic events on the NFHS network again this year. You will need a subscription to watch the events. Nelson County plans to broadcast the football game on Friday night in Lakota.

Students in Grades PK-12 should bring a water bottle to school. We have water fountains that can safely fill their water bottles. Thanks !

Masks are NOT required for the Open House/Meet the teachers from 4:00 until 7:00, tonight August 16th. Beginning Wednesday August 18th (first day of school ). Masks WILL BE REQUIRED for all staff, students & those entering the school building.

Rolette County Public Health will be at the school from 4-7pm today offering immunizations for students needing any for school. Covid Vaccine for students 12 and over will also be available.

Pee Wee 5th and 6th football gear will be handed out on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 3:30 at the Old Gym. Practice will start on Monday, Aug. 23 right after school. Elementary 5th & 6th girls basketball will start practice on Thursday, August 19 at 3:30 at the Old Gym. Practices will run until 5:00 pm.
