Attention Senior Parents If your student plans to attend college and needs help completing FAFSA, we will be hosting a session for them on Wednesday November 23rd at 10:00 am during class time. Students who do not need help or do not plan to attend will have a normal class schedule. FAFSA HELP Session Wednesday November 23rd 10:00 a.m This is the information the students would need to have with them. We will need both student and parent information. 1. Social Security Number and Date of Birth for the parent (parents if married) and student 2. Federal income tax returns, W-2's and other records of money earned including records of investments 3. Records of untaxed income If a parent has an FSA ID of their own or from a previous child, they will need to use this for the FAFSA. If they are comfortable providing this information to their student we can download their taxes, they will still need to have the parent tax return and W-2 for their parent(s) to answer some additional questions after the tax information is imported. We can manually enter their tax information, but the parent will still need a FSA ID to sign the FAFSA with their student

St. John Honored For Student Achievement Press Release from the Office of ND Dept. of Public Instruction BISMARCK, N.D., Nov. 17, 2022 – State School Superintendent Kirsten Baesler said Thursday that St. John High School is being honored for outstanding improvements to their students’ academic achievement. St. John will receive Distinguished Schools Awards from the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators, Baesler said. St. John was chosen because of its exceptional student performance and academic growth for at least two years. The national association is made up of state school officials who administer federal education aid programs. ESEA stands for Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the principal federal law that benefits K-12 education. Each state education department nominates as many as two schools each year for consideration as distinguished schools. Qualifying schools have at least 35 percent of their students in low-income families and have demonstrated high academic achievement for two or more consecutive years.
