I would like to put out a personal acknowledgment to our St. John Woodchuck students and staff. I have witnessed and heard many complimenting remarks about our sportsmanship, character, and hard work. Congratulations to our girls’ basketball team in qualifying for regional play and their 2nd place finish in districts. Our job is not done!
Congratulations to Alani Morin, Aubree Jeanotte, and Kaycee Desjarlais on being selected to the All-District 3 team. Such an amazing accomplishment! Great work ladies and we all know it’s the power of the collective that wins titles! Let’s go, Woodchucks!
Last but not least, a special congratulations goes out to our Coach Jake McCloud. Your hard work, passion, and never quit attitude are reflected in your team’s performance and accolades. This is something to be very proud of Coach! We are extremely proud to call you, OUR COACH! Coaches do not get enough credit and support throughout the years! Tonight (February 13, 2024) is Parent's Night for the Boys Basketball Team. This will be for grades 9-12. Parents will be announced following the B squad game. Games begin at 3:30 with the 7th grade, followed by 8th grade, then B squad and then the varsity. Go Woodchucks!

Today is the last day to purchase cookies from FCCLA. FCCLA members would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the year so far. Next week is National FCCLA week, and they thought it would be fun for some dress up days.February 12-15. Show some support, and they will be delivering cookies also next week.
The GBB C-squad and BBB JV & Varsity games for 2-8-24 have been CANCELLED and will not be made up.
High school students: We will begin distance learning in the high school starting with 3rd hour at 10:10. Make sure you are logging in to class!
UPDATE: The St. John School will have virtual learning today, February 8, 2024. Students should be prepared to begin classes at 10:00 am.
Tomorrow, February 8th, 2024, the St. John School & buses will be 2 hours late. Staff report at 9:45. Parents: please do not drop kids off before 9:45.
Weather and roads conditions will be monitored and if conditions worsen a message concerning virtual learning will be sent out. Again, as of now we will be 2 hours late.
No JH Practices today after school. Wrestling, GBB, and BBB will be completed by 5 pm tonight.
The District 3 GBB Tournament in Park River will have some changes made for Friday. Due to the furthest west teams playing the late games and to help with travel and uncertainty in weather, the evening bracket will swap places with the afternoon bracket. This means St. John will now play at 3:00 against North Star. Saturday's games will remain scheduled as originally planned.

St. John Public School positions for the 2024-25 school year.
1. Information Technology (IT) Teacher- must be qualified to teach Cybersecurity or Computer Science. Must possess a North Dakota Educator’s License. Salary is in accordance with our teacher’s salary scale.
2. Pre-K Teacher. Must possess a North Dakota Educator’s License. Salary is in accordance with our teacher’s salary scale.
3. School Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) credentials. North Dakota Board of Nursing Certified. Must be willing in becoming certified to teach high school CNA class. 10 month position with starting hourly rate of $28-$30/hr. (depending on experience).

Tonight, February 1st is Parents Night for the Girls Basketball team. Parents will be announced between the B squad and Varsity game.
RCPH will be here Monday, Feb. 5th administering fluoride varnish to students interested. Consent forms will be sent home with students. If you would like your child to receive, complete consent and return to the nurse.
